This has been a fairly good week! This is also Day 10 of my Suddenly Slim Program.
Most days I have been feeling great. I have had some sinus issues, which starting Monday has effected my eyes. I did really well with the weekly challenge of reading 10+ minutes a day. I finished a book. That challenge was easy for me as I like to read. I also did fair with my own weekly challenge, not great but okay. I was a bit late a few days, but got the workout done. Saturday was so crazy with getting 6 of us up ready and out the door by 8, and staying busy until 5pm that I didn't fit a workout in. I knew it would be.
Observations from week 1:
*My daughter loves to skip around me during the warmup.
*I can balance the whole 15 second stretch at the end on my toes!
*I have moved up to 10 pound weights for some of the exercises.
*My kids have learned not to ask questions while I'm counting reps.
*45 seconds of intense cardio goes by really quick if your husband sings, "She's a maniac" during the exercise!! Though it is hard while you are laughing!
The challenge for the group this week is:
Have a 10-minute conversation with a friend or your spouse.
My challenge for the week is:
Read another book!
I forgot to tell you my goal for myself for the end of the 21 days.
I will do the plank for 30 seconds or more.
(I started out barely able to do 5-10 seconds. I believe I'm up to at least 20!)
My measurements are "moving," most in the right direction, especially in my middle section.
My weight is down by 10 pounds since I started the Suddenly Slim 1/30!
Check out Fit Moms for Life or Dustin Maher's website for more information on his programs.

Dustin has given us a list of "rules" in order to earn points for doing good (or positive) things and losing points for doing bad (or negative) things. Obviously, the goal is to do positive things to help ourselves immprove our health, have more energy, be a healthy example to our children, and make new friends in the process. As the challenge progresses, I'll share more about the points I'm earning and/or losing. I shouldn't lose too many since I don't drink soda, don't skip breakfast, and I very, very rarely eat out!
I will be posting at least once a week to let you know how I am doing.
I have set a daily goal for this week:
I will do my scheduled workout each day before noon.
Our group daily goal for this week is:
Read at least 10 minutes of something you like.
I have made out a calendar with the workouts list on it. I will be splitting the workout and doing strength one day, cardio/core the next, Monday through Saturday, and taking Sunday as a day of rest.
Saturday will be the hardest day for me to stick to my goal, as my kids have basketball and cheering that day.
Keeping a food journal is important and I will be sharing what I am eating with you.
A couple weeks ago I won the Suddenly Slim 30 day program from First Fitness. I started this Monday, so I will not be following the eating plan for this challenge this time around. The foods that I eat are going to be based on the Suddenly Slim Program, and will include lots of veggies!
Here's a photo taking last summer. I'm not in front of the camera very often (usually the one behind it)! I was probably about 10-15 pounds lighter in the photo that I am starting today.
All that is changing and I'm excited to share it with you!

Question: What is the Avon Tiny Tillia commitment to
All Tiny Tillia products are crafted of high-quality
materials that meet or exceed federal safety requirements. Our manufacturers have given the comfort and safety of
your child the highest priority. Certain items will include specific safety information when they are
shipped to you. If you have any additional questions, you may call 1-800-FOR-AVON.
This week I thought I would give
some background information. Tiny Tillia was started by Tiffany Lerman (a mom
of 2), who wanted to have high quality, fun items for her children...she was not
finding what she wanted in the stores. The Tiny Tillia characters were inspired
by members of her family. Tiffany's mom is author/actress Jackie Collins.
Speaking of celebs, here are just a few who use Tiny Tillia for
their children: Laila Ali (World Championship Athlete), Elizabeth Hasselbeck
(TV star) and Minnie Driver (Movie Actress).
Check out the 3 piece diaper bags in Blue
Florette and Pink Tulip. The wonderful thing about this bag is that when you
have your child potty-trained, it converts into an everyday tote. On sale for
