Mommy Blogger End of Week 1 Update (2/8) #21MBC

One week down and 2 more to go....

This has been a fairly good week! This is also Day 10 of my Suddenly Slim Program.

Most days I have been feeling great. I have had some sinus issues, which starting Monday has effected my eyes. I did really well with the weekly challenge of reading 10+ minutes a day. I finished a book. That challenge was easy for me as I like to read. I also did fair with my own weekly challenge, not great but okay. I was a bit late a few days, but got the workout done. Saturday was so crazy with getting 6 of us up ready and out the door by 8, and staying busy until 5pm that I didn't fit a workout in. I knew it would be.

Observations from week 1:
*My daughter loves to skip around me during the warmup.
*I can balance the whole 15 second stretch at the end on my toes!
*I have moved up to 10 pound weights for some of the exercises.
*My kids have learned not to ask questions while I'm counting reps.
and finally,
*45 seconds of intense cardio goes by really quick if your husband sings, "She's a maniac" during the exercise!! Though it is hard while you are laughing!

The challenge for the group this week is:

Have a 10-minute conversation with a friend or your spouse.

My challenge for the week is:

Read another book!

I forgot to tell you my goal for myself for the end of the 21 days.

I will do the plank for 30 seconds or more.
(I started out barely able to do 5-10 seconds. I believe I'm up to at least 20!)

My measurements are "moving," most in the right direction, especially in my middle section.
My weight is down by 10 pounds since I started the Suddenly Slim 1/30!

Check out Fit Moms for Life or Dustin Maher's website for more information on his programs.
There are many testimonials and great articles!

That is super fun! I love how very involved your family is during your exercises. I wish my husband would sing lol to keep me going.

Haha I think I know what you mean when measurements are moving in the right direction. Yesterday I did some measurements and...and it seemed to move half an inch in the bad direction. {figured I needed to take less deeper breaths} ;) ah well. This is a fresh new week!
Keep going girl!

Plank is hard. Can't imagine doing 2 minutes yet but plan to get there.

Was wondering how you faired at the end of the challenge - or how you sewed it all up! I am going to start again on March 1st! Hope to see you again then. Love your blog, btw!
