First, I apologize for being gone so long. We were out of town for about 2 1/2 weeks with a family reunion in WV and then Sebring Holiness Campmeeting. A great time was had by all, but boy are we glad to be back in the air conditioning!
Strawberry Jam, oh so yummy!
We bought lots of berries at our local farmer's market and got busy prepping.
My little walk-in closet of a kitchen ready for the berries and jars! What you see is the whole kitchen area, well, add the rest of the refridgerator on the left and row of drawers on the right side. Yep, that's it!

Mayya,
It is nice to have some else wash dishses. I just wish it would happen more often and more than a couple dishes at a time! With a family of 6, there's a lot of dishes to wash!!!
So glad you found a bright side to the jam that didn't set. It will look so good on pancakes and French toast!

You look like you have a happy family & a happy blog!
I'm a new follower--can't wait to keep seeing smiling faces on those kiddos!
I used to make strawberry jam with my grandmother every summer--so much fun!
Oh Strawberry Jam!! I used to make that with my mother! I miss it! Maybe I will make some with my girls when they are older and I am living in a house.
Oh my goodness...I've never done anything like that before, but it looks like something I might like to try! Any tips, instructions, recipes?
Doris,
I pretty much followed the recipe inside the box of powdered pectin. I like the powdered better than the liquid. It set up better for me. It's 4 cups of crushed/sliced/chopped fruit, ?cups of sugar, and the pectin. The recipe in the box tells you how much sugar and when to put in the pectin. My biggest tip is to have everything ready. I used my roaster to keep my jars and rings hot and pulled them out just before filling. Then once rings are on they went into the already boiling pot of water for the hot water bath. Hope some of that helps. My kids had some jam the other day that was store bought and they said it tasted different and that they like the jam we made better! Love them kids!!
