Sunday Scripture & Prayer Requests

Psalm 20:4-5 (New International Version)

4 May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.

5 We will shout for joy when you are victorious
and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the LORD grant all your requests.

Several years ago, I held tightly to this verse. You see, I had 3 sons, whom I love dearly. But I really wanted a daughter. My oldest son had been praying for well over a year for God to give him a sister. It took a little longer than we had anticipated, but God granted that prayer! We got our daughter and my sons got their sister. They shower her will love and I'm sure as she gets older all the boys will all know that she has older brothers watching over her!

We praise God for answered prayer. It may not be in our timing or exactly the way we would like it to be, but God's ways are best.

Do you have any prayer requests that you would like to share, so that I may join you in praying? It can even be as simple as stating it as unspoken...God knows your heart and your need.

May you all have a blessed and wonderful Labor Day!

We had a similar prayer answered. It took 3 miscarriages but in the end we were blessed with a beautiful sister for my older daughter. The Lord works in mysterious ways!

I would take prayers for the adjustments and changes happening in our house this week as school starts and my youngest goes to daycare.
